Earlier this week, we announced that Algood Caster Innovations has joined Colson Group.

I wanted to speak personally to our customers, distributors, suppliers, and partners about why we made this decision and what it means for you.

Above all, the Algood you know is here to stay.

The Guttmann family is staying with Algood, and I will continue to lead the company as President. Both Sean and Elie will continue in their leadership roles as Vice Presidents. Our name, people, website, ordering procedures, and sales representatives will all remain the same. You can continue to rely on our products, engineering support, and personal service. Your projects and orders will receive the same care and attention they always have.

Over the coming days, we will communicate updates to invoicing, tax information, and banking details directly, with clear instructions and secure verification steps. Before acting on any message involving sensitive information or payment changes, please verify that it is an authentic Algood communication. Since 2021, Algood has grown rapidly. Our investments in engineering, manufacturing, and product innovation have opened opportunities well beyond our traditional markets, with our products reaching customers around the world. As we looked ahead, we saw the opportunity to build on that momentum with the right strategic partner who could help us extend our global reach, expand our manufacturing capacity, and support production in multiple markets.

My father founded Algood in Toronto in 1969, committed to taking care of customers, standing behind his work, and finding a solution when the off-the-shelf caster wasn’t enough. More than 50 years later, those beliefs remain central to how we work.

When we met Colson Group, its commitment to reshoring manufacturing to North America particularly impressed Sean and me. We saw a partner whose resources and manufacturing network could help Algood grow, and whose approach supported our commitment to making products in Canada.

Algood brings considerable strengths to this partnership. Our fully integrated Canadian operation combines engineering and custom product development with tool and die, metal stamping, and injection molding expertise. Together, we can build on those capabilities, expand manufacturing, and support customers across North America and around the globe.

For me, the opportunity is to do more of what Algood does well: understand your application, develop the right solution, and stand behind it. A familiar voice when you call and a thoughtful answer to a technical question will continue to matter just as much.
