Designed for robust, consistent performance, the 2309 features outstanding construction and a wide range of components, making it both versatile and practical to specify. The series is available as a complete stainless-steel caster, including a double-locking brake with a step-on/step-off pedal that locks both the wheel and swivel in any direction. That’s a control feature that makes a difference in busy, space-constrained environments.

At the core of its stability and maneuverability is a double raceway construction with 5mm diameter upper and lower races, paired with hardened stainless steel load bearings. With a capacity up to 450 lbs, a 1-1/4” tread width, and wheel diameters of 3”, 4”, and 5”, the 2309 can be produced with a wide variety of wheels, brakes, and stems – including expandable stems – so you can match the configuration to the equipment and the application. Optional raceway seals are ideal for healthcare applications.

This high-performance caster features a one-piece heat-treated rig stamped out of .120” 1010 grade steel, providing unmatched strength and longevity. Its versatility comes from a range of 5 sizes including a low-profile 2-5/8” x 1-1/2” all the way up to a 6” x 1-1/2” configuration that has a capacity of 700 lbs. The 5400 comes in a range of finishes including zinc, chrome as well as flat, gloss and ionic black.

A variety of brake choices add to the agility of our superstar. It’s available with our unparalleled iLock™ braking mechanism which features an eight position directional and wheel lock that engages with absolute precision. The pedal design includes embossed ridges that make it easier to secure. It’s manufactured with a steel spring and a rubber grommet that securely locks the wheel and caster.

You can get the iLock as a directional and wheel lock brake, a swivel-only brake or a wheel-only brake. Top locking and thumb screw brakes are also options.

With an array of plates (including bolt hole options), stems (including expandable stems and metric sizes) and bearings, the 5400 is available in thousands of configurations. Dust caps and raceway seals can also be added.

The 1900 Series – A light duty caster with heavy duty options

You will be amazed at how many possible configurations our 1900 series casters have. They are available with an enormous array of plate and stem options, a wide choice of finishes, just about every type of wheel, and are appropriate for a host of applications.

1900 Series: S1953-A27D-LV [Zinc Finish]

Better yet, this caster is produced in our integrated manufacturing plant in Toronto. Whether you need ten or ten thousand, you’ll get your order with reasonable lead times, delivery dates you can depend on and impeccable North American quality backed by our 3-year No-Excuse Warranty.

With a capacity of 325 lbs., the 1900 is available in 3”, 4” and 5” diameters with a tread width of 1-1/4”. It can be equipped with a top lock, side lock or pedal wheel lock brake and can be made with a variety of wheels, including our ProTech™, Envirothane™, RollX™, high-temp Lava™ and steel wheels, many of which are also manufactured in our plant. In addition to the standard zinc finish, the 1900 can be produced in black, chrome and yellow chromate.

A huge lineup of stem choices includes threaded hex washer, threaded hex nut, round, square, expandable round, expandable square and special threaded stems. The 1900 series casters come with a built-in stem/kingpin. They are also available as a bolt hole to accommodate any special or custom stem you require.

This caster is also available with a 2″ dual wheel low profile configuration. With an overall height of just 3-3/16”, it’s perfect for applications where clearance is critical and being low to the ground is necessary.

The 1900 is NSF-approved and, therefore, ideal for a wide range of applications, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, and food service uses, as well as institutional furniture, store fixtures, and textile plants. When outfitted with our Lava high-temperature wheel, it can be used for bakeries, autoclaves, and other demanding environments.

5000 Series: A 450 lb. Caster with a Ton of Options

Our 5000 Series may be the most versatile casters we make. They come with an incredible array of options, including plates, stems, brakes, wheels and finishes. In addition, these casters can be configured for just about any application.

With a capacity of 450 lbs., the 5000 Series can handle an overall equipment load of more than 1,800 lbs. It comes in 3”, 4”, 5”, and 6” diameters and can accommodate tread widths of both 1-1/4” and 1-1/2”. At least six different plate options are available, and it also comes as a bolt-hole. A wide range of stem choices includes round, threaded, both round and square expandable, and metric sizes.

5000 Series: S5053-A27D-PLY-PB-TG-iLK [Zinc]

The 5000 series casters can be produced with over a dozen wheel options including our Envirothane™ and ProTech™ as well as the Lava™ for high-temp applications. Also, you can get it with a double lock brake (DLB), top lock brake (TLB) or our trademarked iLock™ precision directional and wheel lock brake. There are numerous bearing choices and the caster can be finished in black (flat, gloss, ionic), brass, chrome, yellow chromate or the standard zinc finish. Thread guards are also available.

Heavy Duty Engineering

With up to 1,500 lbs. of brute strength, our 6803 and 6809 Series casters were built to perform and can take on just about any heavy-duty application. Featuring legs that are 2-1/2” wide, which is 1/2” wider than those on most other casters, these series are a true feat of engineering.

6803 Series

A number of features contribute to the durability of the 6803. Wider legs provide more contact with the washer. These casters are stamped, and then work hardened, adding to their durability. Finally, the 3/4” kingpin makes them incredibly sturdy.

This caster also features outstanding versatility, including diameters that range from 4” to 8” with 2” tread widths. A hard-to-find 2-1/2” width, with double welded legs, is available on 6” and 8” casters. 10” and 12” diameters are also available on request. While the standard overall height is 9-1/2”, a 9-3/4” version can be ordered. The 6803 can be produced with a wide range of wheels, brakes, stems, bearings and plates.

6809 Series

There’s also a stainless-steel version of this caster – the 6809. It’s made from work-hardened, electro-polished, de-magnetized and de-burred SAE 304 stainless steel. The 6809 is a complete stainless-steel caster including the axle, bearings and raceway balls.

NSF-Approved, this caster is corrosion resistant, moisture friendly and perfect for healthcare, pharmaceutical, food production, server-rooms and other clean applications.
