Iconic Ball Casters

When you think about office chairs or furniture, you almost always conjure up an image of a ball caster. While ball casters are often associated with office chairs and furniture, they are not limited to that environment. Ball casters are versatile and can be effectively used in a wide range of settings, making them one of our top-selling casters.

Not only are our ball casters BIFMA approved and incredibly functional, they are designed to enhance the aesthetics of any setting. With standard sleek bright mirror reflection chrome and a variety of other available finishes, including Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Brass Lacquer, Brush Nickel, Flat, Gloss, and Ionic Black, these casters can truly elevate the look of any environment.

Black polyolefin, as well as black or grey Envirothane™ wheels, are available. The Envirothane wheels are particularly useful because they are hard enough for carpeted floors and soft enough for tiled surfaces. In addition, the grey Envirothane creates a distinctive colour combination.

Our ball casters are engineered for easy swivelling and movement. Their spherical shape allows them to sit on a single point, reducing friction and enabling smooth motion. The wheel rides directly on the bushing, not on bearings, which ensures excellent mobility at a reasonable cost. With hardened steel load raceway bearings and self-lubricating acetyl resin bushings, our ball casters are built to last and are virtually maintenance-free.

These wheels are so quiet you might not hear them coming. In fact, the noise suppression qualities of our ProTech™ wheel are unequalled. Featuring a treaded wheel secured to a polyolefin core, the wheels provide a smooth, cushioned ride that absorbs most shock and vibration. ProTech wheels are incredibly versatile and can be configured for just about any application.

ProTechs come in a wide range of sizes, from 2” x 7/8” to 12” x 3”, with a remarkable capacity of 1200 lbs. Whether you need a flat tread wheel or a crowned tread option to reduce push-pull and increase maneuverability, ProTech wheels can adapt to your specific needs. All configurations are available in the black-on-black combination with blue/black and grey/black available in limited sizes. Other colour pairings are available upon request.

These wheels come with a range of bearings, including precision, ball and Delrin bearings, as well as precision, nylon, stainless steel and caged roller bearings. Thread guards and side washers are also available.

Saving Lives with Scaffolding Casters

Our 8900 Series scaffolding caster prioritizes safety. It features a high-quality dual-locking system that engages the wheel tread and swivel section. The 1-3/8” x 4” industry standard round stem includes a cross-drilled hole that allows the stem to be locked in the scaffolding’s tubing.

The 8900 Series has a corrosion-resistant bright zinc finish that is ideal for outdoor use. It also comes with a Moldon Rubber wheel that can easily navigate uneven outdoor surfaces. Diameters of 6” and 8” are available, with capacities of up to 800 lbs.

Cyclone Series: SCY125-A84L-URHX2-TB-UWB-4PSL [Corrosion Resistant Zinc Finish]

The top raceway of the TwinTrack head is designed to absorb the direct downward thrust while the bottom raceway is engineered to absorb the horizontal thrust. Together, these two raceways act like a tapered bearing, allowing more lateral movement and taking on harsher loads. This superior design ensures that the Cyclone’s performance is unmatched in the industry.

The TwinTrack head features a 6” upper raceway with 3/4” diameter steel balls on top of a 3-13/16″ lower raceway with 1/2” diameter balls.

Heavy Duty Engineering

With up to 1,500 lbs. of brute strength, our 6803 and 6809 Series casters were built to perform and can take on just about any heavy-duty application. Featuring legs that are 2-1/2” wide, which is 1/2” wider than those on most other casters, these series are a true feat of engineering.

6803 Series

A number of features contribute to the durability of the 6803. Wider legs provide more contact with the washer. These casters are stamped, and then work hardened, adding to their durability. Finally, the 3/4” kingpin makes them incredibly sturdy.

This caster also features outstanding versatility, including diameters that range from 4” to 8” with 2” tread widths. A hard-to-find 2-1/2” width, with double welded legs, is available on 6” and 8” casters. 10” and 12” diameters are also available on request. While the standard overall height is 9-1/2”, a 9-3/4” version can be ordered. The 6803 can be produced with a wide range of wheels, brakes, stems, bearings and plates.

6809 Series

There’s also a stainless-steel version of this caster – the 6809. It’s made from work-hardened, electro-polished, de-magnetized and de-burred SAE 304 stainless steel. The 6809 is a complete stainless-steel caster including the axle, bearings and raceway balls.

NSF-Approved, this caster is corrosion resistant, moisture friendly and perfect for healthcare, pharmaceutical, food production, server-rooms and other clean applications.

The versatility of this caster is enhanced by an array of available options, including brakes/locks, bearings, plates, washers and stems. It can also be made in a variety of finishes including the standard corrosion resistant bright zinc as well as black, chrome and brass. The unique construction of this caster allows us to customize the overall height and swivel lead to meet specific customer requirements.

The 7003 Series is suitable for innumerable applications including stock carts, platform trucks, garbage bins, wire shelving units, heavy service equipment and factory use.

There is also a stainless steel version of this caster. The 7009 Series is produced using work-hardened, electro polished and de-magnetized SAE 304 stainless steel. High Capacity Wheels | Easy on Floors

Here’s a wheel that will handle capacities up to 6,600 lbs while leaving your floors looking like new. Our Moldon Urethane wheel features a urethane tread secured to a cast iron core.

With high tensile strength, these wheels are non-marking and will protect all surfaces while providing a smooth and quiet ride. Moldon Urethane wheels extend the longevity of equipment and by preventing excess movement, they also protect valuable cargo. and. They are resistant to most chemicals and can be used outdoors.

Here’s a wheel that will handle capacities up to 6,600 lbs while leaving your floors looking like new. Our Moldon Urethane wheel features a urethane tread secured to a cast iron core.

Our Moldon Urethanes come in three versions. The standard wheel has a durometer of 93.5 on the A scale while the Heavy Duty (HD) will handle higher capacities and is much harder with a durometer of 70 on the D scale. There is also a crowned tread that offers exceptional manoeuvrability. Wheels come with diameters ranging from 4” to 10” with tread widths from 1-1/2” to 4”. They come with a wide variety of bearings.

These wheels are ideal for heavy material handling and are used in paper mills, steel mills, aircraft engine cradles and heavy machinery equipment as well as platform and stock trucks.

Our 5000 Series are the most versatile casters we make. They come with an incredible array of options, including plates, stems, brakes, wheels and finishes. In addition, this is a caster that can be configured for just about any application.

With a capacity of 450 lbs., the 5000 Series can handle an overall equipment load of more than 1,800 lbs. It comes in 3”, 4”, 5” and 6” diameters and can accommodate tread widths of both 1-1/4” and 1-1/2”. There are at least six different plate options and it’s also available as a bolt hole. A wide range of stem options includes round, threaded, both round and square expandable as well as metric sizes.

These versatile casters can be ordered with over a dozen wheel options including our Envirothane™ and ProTech™ as well as the Lava™ for high-temp applications. In addition, you can get it with a double lock brake (DLB), top lock brake (TLB) or our trademarked iLock™ precision directional and wheel lock brake. There are numerous bearing choices and the caster can be finished in black (flat, gloss, ionic), brass, chrome, yellow chromate or the standard zinc finish. Thread guards are also available.
